Request for help!
Jason’s latest appeal was rejected from the court of
original jurisdiction. The appeal
included an example of judicial misbehavior by a judge of that court named
Judge Julie Field. The judge assigned
to Jason’s case a number of years ago, after Judge Gilmore recused himself, was
Judge Dave Williams. When Jason’s appeal
came into the court it was given not to the assigned J. Williams but to J.
Field and she rejected it. Because she
was accused of bias in Jason’s appeal she ethically should not have been given
the appeal to review and deny. This is
an obvious ethical violation.
Jason’s complaints to the CO Commission on Judicial
Discipline have not addressed the ethical violation. A cover up attempt was “Oh, we decided to
change your assigned judge three weeks ago and not inform you.” This does not address the fact that J. Field,
who was complained about in Jason’s appeal, did not have the right to review
and reject his appeal.
This is “par for the course” in how his appeals have been
treated. Avoidance!
Jason is asking for help from an organization called
Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System which is in Denver. He is hoping you will write a couple of lines
in support of him. If you know Jason
then you could say something about his non-violent character and how he would
have to been seriously provoked to do anyone harm.
If you don’t know Jason you could say something about how
the CO Commission on Judicial Discipline is compounding the ethical violation
by not addressing the ethical violation.
The difference in sentencing between second degree murder, which he was
coerced into confessing, and crime of passion (provocation) murder is 15-20
years. Here is the link to write a
couple of lines. http://iaals.du.edu/about-the-institute/contact-us/
Thank you so much for helping. Please check out the latest blog entry and my
